Tribalco, LLC, a global provider of mission-critical information technology, telecommunications, and soldier survival services and solutions, announced that it was the single awardee of a seven-year prime IDIQ contract to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) Program of Record.

Tribalco has been DoD's sole supplier of TCCC CASEVAC sets since the program’s inception in 2010 and will continue to integrate the kitted components and deliver training under the new contract for the next seven years. Each of the four modular Tribalco-developed kits that make up the CASEVAC set supports a specific phase of TCCC–extraction, mobility, transportation, or sustainment. “We are proud of the capabilities we provide USSOCOM on the TCCC CASEVAC contract,” said Andrew Stern, Tribalco’s President. “As the incumbent contractor, we’ve been designing and integrating TCCC CASEVAC sets and providing advanced equipment training for the USSOCOM TCCC Program of Record since 2010. • Tribalco Expands Its Communications Presence in Africa with U.S. Air Force Modernization Projects

Tribalco, LLC, a global provider of mission-critical information technology, telecommunications, and soldier survival services and solutions, continues to expand its presence on the African continent with multiple prime contracts and task order awards with U.S. Air Forces Africa. Tribalco's work to modernize and upgrade communications networks and infrastructure spans locations in Djibouti, Niger, and Kenya.

USAFRICOM coordinates with national, international, and regional partners to conduct military information support operations for DoD's communication efforts to improve regional stability and security cooperation, counter violent extremist organizations, counter illicit activities, and counter malign adversarial influence within the USAFRICOM geographic AOR. Tribalco's modernization efforts support this mission and enhance U.S. readiness and operational flexibility by improving USAFRICOM’s secure communications capabilities.

"Today's warfighter needs superior communications connectivity," said Tribalco's Senior Vice President and General Manager Joseph Castro. "Tribalco is helping the Air Force meet that need by applying our extensive radio and communications infrastructure and integration expertise across multiple projects in Africa."

Tribalco's current U.S. Air Forces Africa projects include installing enterprise land mobile radio systems at Niger Air Base and Camp Simba, conducting maintenance hole duct system work to support base telecommunication expansions at Chabelley Airfield and Camp Simba, and establishing a point-to-point link between Camp Lemonnier and Chabelley Airfield. Tribalco sees its expansion into Africa as a natural extension of its successful work supporting the military's modernization efforts across the EMEA and SWA regions. Tribalco credits its successes in this expanding AOR to its standards of operational excellence, superior delivery, and customer satisfaction.

"Tribalco has a long history of successful program delivery with the U.S. Air Force, and we are excited to have the opportunity to build on our successful track record with our communications modernization work in Africa," said Castro.

  • Tribalco’s Telecommunications Work Featured in Cover Story of The Kwajalein Hourglass

Tribalco, LLC, a global provider of mission-critical information technology, telecommunications, and soldier survival services and solutions, is featured in the September 20, 2020, issue of The Kwajalein Hourglass. The article titled, "Tribalco Improves Elementary School Communications,” highlights the work the Tribalco telecommunications team has been providing on U.S. Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll since 2018, when it was selected as the Army’s prime contracting partner.

Tribalco supports the U.S. Army 30th Signal Battalion Network Enterprise Center’s network environment with upgrades to, and support of, the hardware, software, applications, tools, and systems used by the government on their networked systems located throughout Kwajalein Atoll. The Hourglass article features Tribalco’s latest project for the U.S. Army’s C4IM program: upgrading the voice and data infrastructure for the Atoll’s George Seitz Elementary School.

The Tribalco team is installing new telecommunications rooms in each of the school’s three main facilities. and is also installing telephones and intercom systems to connect the classrooms to the administration building and telephone and video monitoring systems for the hallways. The project involves adding hundreds of new internet drops—300 in a single building—and thousands of feet of cable to feed the site.

The school’s “vintage” voice and data system are long overdue for an upgrade. According to The Hourglass, Tribalco telecommunications manager Alfonse Zito “estimates the copper infrastructure on Kwajalein alone is 20 years past its shelf life.” Zito says that the new infrastructure will result in fewer outages and allow for network upgrades.

“We are really proud of the work Tribalco’s team is doing on Kwajalein Atoll,” said Tribalco Chief Operating Officer Michele Friedman. “In addition to supporting the U.S. Army’s C4IM services work, our team is improving the Army’s soldier and family readiness by ensuring the school’s students and staff have safe and reliable access to vital technology.”

The elementary school project is 90% complete, but the work is far from done. When this project is complete, Tribalco’s team will begin the telecommunications renovation for Kwajalein High School. “I’m working on the designs now,” said Zito.

  • Tribalco Showcases Golden Hour Medic

Mobile Golden Hour™ Medic enables combat medics to transport life-saving medical materials at critical temperatures.

In May, Tribalco attended both the Special Operations Medical Association Scientific Assembly (SOMSA) in Charlotte, NC and the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, FL. At the shows, Tribalco exhibited its Soldier Survival services and solutions; talked with Special Operations Forces (SOF) members, current customers, and vendors; and met new customers.

SOF members, medics, and other military and industry representatives who stopped by Tribalco’s booths were able to interact with Tribalco’s team of former tactical operators who possess unique knowledge in areas related to soldier survival. They also received hands-on demonstrations of Tribalco’s tactical medical equipment and learned more about Tribalco’s Soldier Survival solutions.

Div-6, Tribalco’s Soldier Survival Division, specializes in providing operational equipment and tactical combat casualty solutions for the warfighter. Their products, including the Golden Hour™ Medic, a new product developed in partnership with Pelican BioThermal, continue to raise the bar on the standard of care in pre-hospital battlefield medicine for the wounded operator. Tribalco and Pelican BioThermal jointly marketed this life-saving product at the tradeshows.

The Golden Hour™ Medic is a combat-portable medic pack that holds blood and other chilled medical supplies for two days in harsh conditions and up to three days in standard environments. Based on the technology used in the award-winning Golden Hour™ Mobile container, Golden Hour™ Medic is designed to be carried on a person, allowing combat medics and other military medical personnel to transport blood products to locations that vehicles may not be able to reach.

In a press release issued by Pelican BioThermal, Vice President of Worldwide Sales Kevin Lawler stated, “Tribalco is a great fit for us as strategic partners. They helped us define requirements for what’s really needed in the field, involving military field personnel for testing and design feedback. This partnership allows us to deliver a better solution to combat medics on the front lines.”

Tribalco’s products undergo constant revision through a vetted spiral development process. Tribalco Soldier Survival Division Director of Operations Jeremy Catrone explained that talking to SOF members and medics who have used Tribalco’s products in the field makes a tremendous impact on the development and enhancement of the company’ s Soldier Survival solutions.

In the release, Catrone said, “The feedback we receive from the decision makers in the special operations medicine field is invaluable. Attending shows like SOMSA and SOFIC provides the opportunity to get feedback from medical advisors and better define operational needs. We are then able to collaborate with Pelican BioThermal to develop specific products focused on one goal; saving the lives of our troops.”

The Golden Hour™ Medic was been positively received by SOMSA and SOFIC attendees and has received a significant amount of industry and military interest.
