Tribalco Joins 1% of Department of War Contractors with CMMC 2.0 Level 2 Certification

Tribalco, LLC, a global leader in C5ISR and mission-critical technology services and solutions, announced it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 Level 2. This milestone demonstrates Tribalco’s commitment to protecting sensitive defense information and supporting the Department of War (DOW) with secure, resilient capabilities.

The CMMC 2.0 framework establishes mandatory cybersecurity standards for defense contractors that handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Achieving CMMC 2.0 Level 2 confirms that Tribalco’s robust security controls, mature governance, and disciplined cyber risk management comply with all 110 security requirements in NIST SP 800-171.

To earn CMMC 2.0 Level 2, Tribalco underwent a rigorous, comprehensive assessment by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). This assessment evaluated Tribalco’s policies, procedures, and technical implementation for handling CUI and securing government data across its operations.

Successfully passing this stringent review provides objective confirmation of the maturity and effectiveness of Tribalco’s cybersecurity practices. As of March 18, 2026, only about 0.3% of the estimated 300,000 companies in the Defense Industrial Base have achieved a CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certification through a C3PAO assessment, and Tribalco is among the first 1.18% of the approximately 80,000 companies the DOW expects will ultimately require this certification. This designation places Tribalco among a select group of federal contractors that are fully prepared to compete for and execute DOW contracts requiring CMMC 2.0 Level 2.
