Delivering expert instruction and challenging scenarios that maximize progressive skill development and retention

From confined space and trench rescue to structural collapse and vehicle extrication, Tribalco’s experienced instructors provide hands-on training and challenging scenarios that enable students to confidently respond to workplace emergencies. Participants will obtain critical safety and rescue skills and develop organization-specific tactics, techniques, and procedures to facilitate rescues and improve workplace safety.

Confined Space Rescuer Level I

Students will learn rescue skills for vertical/horizontal portals and elevated platforms. Skills include: site operations, hazard recognition and mitigation, victim management, PPE and equipment maintenance, ropes/rigging, anchor systems, lowering/hauling/belay operations, patient packaging, and CS and tripod operations.

  • Teaches CS environments to meet the ”awareness level” requirements of NFPA 1006 (2021), Standards for Technical Rescuer–Chapter 7 “Confined Space Rescue.”
  • Meets OSHA-compliance requirements for basic CS rescue from non-IDLH confined spaces.

Confined Space (CS) Rescuer
Level I

CS Rescuer Level II C/S Certification
Prepares individuals/teams to respond to IDLH confined space rescues
50 hours (five 10-hour days)
Prerequisite: Rope Rescue/Confined Space Rescue Level I or comparable course

This course, available as an open or private course, is the next step in meeting OSHA and NFPA requirements for rescues from CS environments. Scenario-based training for non-IDLH and IDLH confined spaces sharpens students’ skills and improves timely response to CS emergencies.

  • Teaches additional CS skills and the use of SCBA and SAR for rescue in IDLH environments.
  • Students will test out to the NFPA requirements for “operations” and “technician level” of NFPA 1006 (2021) Level II, Standards for Technical Rescuer–Chapter 7 “Confined Space Rescue.”
  • Students will meet all JPRs for NFPA 2021 Chapter 7 “Confined Space Rescue” to the “technician level.” Students will have the opportunity to test out for certification to NFPA 1006 standard, which helps document rescuer/teams’ competencies to meet the OSHA’s CS rescue requirements.

Confined Space Rescuer Level II C/S Certification

Confined Space Rescue Technician Certification

Covers the NFPA job requirements for CS rescue “technician level”
60 hours (six 10-hour days)
No prerequisite

Available as an open or private class, this course trains individuals/teams to respond to both IDLH and non-IDLH confined space rescues. The curriculum covers the rope rescue skills needed to perform rescues from horizontal and vertical spaces at ground level and elevated vessels.

  • At the conclusion of this course, students will have met all job performance requirements for NFPA 2021 Chapter 7 “Confined Space Rescue” to the “technician level” and will be given the opportunity to test out for certification to NFPA 1006 standard. (Testing out to the NFPA standard is an excellent way to help document a rescuer or teams’ competency to meet the OSHA requirements for confined space rescue.)

Confined Space Rescue Technician Certification
